| When you arrive at the airport in Sri Lanka, you will receive a 30 day FREE OF COST Tourist Visa to enter and travel around Sri Lanka. There is a Duty Free Shop selling major brands of liquor and chocolates, perfumes, etc. Please note they DO NOT sell cigarettes. You are allowed 2 bottles of liquor + wine/beer. When you pick up your baggage and walk out of the customs area, you will see one of our representatives holding a board with your name on it. He/she will introduce you to your Chaffeur-guide, and all of our staff will look after you throughout your stay in Super Sri Lanka! There are only 2 things in Sri Lanka to be wary about. First, if you ever feel the need to travel around Colombo on your own, PLEASE DO NOT GET INTO a "TUK-TUK" (or "3 Wheeler", or "Auto-Rickshaw")! We have simply had TOO MANY COMPLAINTS about foreigners being badly cheated, sometimes in a threatening manner, and it just is not worth it. In fact, in most cases, you will find that a very comfortable ride in an airconditioned taxi service like the one available on 011-2-588-588 actually is CHEAPER than roughing it out on a "Tuk-Tuk"!!! Secondly, "beach boys" or people who walk up to you and want to be friendly in a persistant manner. They may be trying to sell you something, probably at a highly inflated price. A firm and gentle "no, thank you" should do the trick here. At this time, these are the only 2 things you need to be wary of, the rest of Sri Lanka is extremely safe and friendly, so go ahead and enjoy your SUPER SRI LANKA holiday! |
